Another Baby?!

What a weekend!! I have often wondered if a goat would go into active labor while I had a group for a farm visit. I got my answer on Saturday! We didn’t realize that Izzy was pregnant until she was showing signs of early labor. Just a few hours later we had a baby on the ground! It was crazy! Baby needed a little assistance coming into the world, and for a minute I didn’t think he was going to make it. It was pretty rough on Izzy as well, so she needed a little extra TLC(cooled hemorroid pads and a good pain reliever). After a couple days of meds and healing, her swelling is down and she is back to herself. She is a wonderful momma! It makes me so happy to watch her with her new buddy. Izzy only had one baby, but he is so incredibly beautiful and the snuggliest baby there is! Still trying to come up with a name for this little guy.
